Ah, politicking....

John Kerry then...

We need to offer answers, not just anger. We need to offer solutions, not just slogans.
Solutions, not slogans. Gotcha.

John Kerry now:

"We don't need a president who just says 'gentlemen, start your engines.' We need a president who says 'America, let's start the economy and put people back to work,"' Kerry said.

"This is not a time for photo opportunities, it is a time to create real opportunities in America."

Right. No slogans.

I'm just wondering how the President starts the economy. Is it a hand-crank starter? Is it like a WWI-era plane where someone's standing at the propellor and yelling, "Contact!"

Sorry, Senator Kerry: the US economy is a perpetual motion machine. No one can start it, and no one can stop it without completely annihilating it.
