The Kerry Priorities...

Is it any wonder the majority of Americans don't trust the Democrats on matters of national defense? Quoth John Kerry...
GILBERT: Senator Kerry, President Bush a week ago on "Meet the Press " described himself as a war president. He said he's got war on his mind as he considers these policies and decisions he has to make. If you were elected, would you see yourself as a war president?
KERRY: I'd see myself first of all as a jobs president, as a health care president, as an education president and also an environmental president. And add them all together, you can't be safe at home today unless you are also safe abroad. We're at war, so of course John Kerry would be a....jobs President. And an "everything else domestic, or really anything but the war" President". But don't worry. He has foreign policy priorities, too...(link via Tacitus)
Senator John Kerry has castigated the US president, George Bush, for pushing the Northern Ireland peace process down the White House's foreign policy agenda, it emerged today.

In the statement, Mr Kerry urged the IRA and loyalists to get rid of their weapons and bring an end to all paramilitary activity. A statement from the Massachusetts senator's campaign team said: "John Kerry will put the Northern Ireland peace process high on America's foreign policy agenda. John Kerry: "Fighting terrorism wherever it doesn't threaten America".
