Meteorology? Its the sinful women doing it!

Sigh ... some things still amaze me.

Drought blamed on sinful women

Saudi Arabian clerics across the kingdom led worshippers in prayers for rain, blaming a recent drought on sinfulness. Thursday's prayers came as the government reported less than normal rainfall over the winter months.

Addressing hundreds of worshippers in Mecca, Grand Mosque cleric Abdel Rahman bin Abdel Aziz al-Sudeis singled out women, saying their sins included ''bedecking, unveiling and mingling'' with men.

If that were true, based on their belief, we'd be living in a desert. ;)

But what a fine desert it'd be!

I usually blame my "droughts" on a lack of sinful women....

The deal is, the U.S. as a whole is supposed to get something like 300 inches of rain a year. Constant rain. Wash the countryside into the ocean rain. Make Provo Utah into Venice West rain. But thanks to all the 'naughty women' we've got God holds off on the precipitation.

Now you know why Southern California is a desert. Though I'm convinced God is over reacting concerning the San Diego City Council. (Not Strippergate, the constant whining about how the burg has no notable landmarks. San Diego Insider stuff.)
