Just guessing.....they think Bush = Hitler, right? Posted by: shark at April 29, 2004 09:15 AM |

No, Bush isn't Hitler. Bush doesn't speak German; heck, he doesn't speak English particularly well. Fallujah is a classic example of how this appointed administration hasn't clue one about what they're doing. Yesterday, Donnie Rumsfeld tells everyone that we're fighting Baathists in Fallujah. This morning, we're told that we're going to turn Fallujah over to an Iraqi force headed by a Baathist General in Saddam's old Army. It'd be funny if not for the fact we're losing US troops because this appointed administration has no idea and no plan. Posted by: jadegold at April 29, 2004 09:41 AM |

AntiWar.com is actually a very heavy libertarian-leaning site. They're not interested in peace as much as they are interested in having the smallest possible government, and one that has zero involvement in foreign affairs. They're also frequent defenders of Slobodon Milosevic, and while I don't recall them ever actually coming out for Hussein, it's no suprise that they're only interest in Sadr is in painting him as a victim of big government. JadeGold, you're just as convincing as ever. Posted by: Christopher Luebcke at April 29, 2004 11:52 AM |

Ah, forgot my real point, which is that to them Bush != Hitler, but Bush == Big, Intrusive Government. Posted by: Christopher Luebcke at April 29, 2004 11:54 AM |

Yeah - they're the very definition of paleo-libertarian. Thus, that Justin Raimando tool. While I can understand the desire to have a non-interventionist, even isolationist, foreign policy - though I disagree with it - it seems they go much farther than that. They sometimes become apologists for the terrorists and extremists we fight. Posted by: Jon Henke at April 29, 2004 12:00 PM |

That, and the fact that Sadr is wanted by Iraqi authorities for: -- Embezzling religious funds from several mosques and to top it all off.... -- SOLICITING THE MURDER OF A FELLOW CLERIC (Abdul Majeed al-Khoei) http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,9302796%255E601,00.html Al-Sadr is not a community leader. He's a thug. We're right to go arrest his sorry ass. End of story. Posted by: Thief at April 30, 2004 04:05 PM |
