Spain's spin
Posted by McQ

Apparently Spain's socialist PM Jose Zapatero thinks its all over in Iraq:

Spain's leader says there's a lesson in Iraq: that preemptive wars don't work.

Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero calls the mission in Iraq a ``failure,'' one that he says is becoming more apparent each day. And he adds that the international community must say ``never again'' to preemptive wars.

In another press account, he makes the fatal mistake of invoking a failed policy as Spain's approach to terrorism:

The prime minister also said that his cabinet will use all the strength of democracy and the rule of law to fight with "firmness"against all types of terrorism.

Wonder how long it will be before reality again visits Spain?

I don't get it Bruce. We spent the 90's doing the same thing and look what happened. Aren't people supposed to learn from the past? You've probably been to Spain and you know that the Spainish are some of the sweetest most gentle people around, they do not deserve what is going to happen to them but, unfortunately, they brought it on themselves.
