Kerry - Man of the People

I wonder if Paul Wellstone is turning over in his grave yet:

John Kerry may be only a candidate for president, but he and his entourage travel like kings. A month ago, his campaign began chartering a gleaming 757, packed with first-class seats, fine food, sleeping accommodations - even a stand-up bar. They hardly shy away from fancy hotels, like the Four Seasons in Palm Beach and the St. Regis in Los Angeles.

Why should he care ... its not his money. Imagine, if you will that same sort of attitude with access to the federal budget.

Well, let's see. According to Democrats, Republicans are rich, elitist, and arrogant, and have no contact with the common people or (especially) minorities except as servants.

Ironic. Looks like the only Republican in the race is the Democratic candidate.

Yeah, just imagine if a rich, privileged guy who flies around in an absurdly expensive airplane and stays in first class accommodations trying to get himself elected president were to succeed, gaining access to to the federal budget. Why, we’d be looking at massive deficits in no time. Oh, wait…

Of course George Bush isn't the fellow running around claiming his opponent has lost touch or trying to characterize himself as a man of the people is he?

As for the budget ... even with Bush's proflagate spending, all indications (have you LISTENED to the spending promises Kerry has been making?) are the Kerry would make him look like a piker.

Hopefully Bush will still have command of AF 1 after November.

Yeah...GWB would NEVER do anything of the sort. For instance, he'd NEVER run around the country in an Enron jet or something. Egads.
