Iraqi Group Threatens to Kill Zarqawi

Apparently all the bombings and bloodshed are finally beginng to have an effect, although not the effect for which the terrorists hoped:

However, for the first time, a vigilante group emerged threatening to retaliate for the violence, which has often killed Iraqi civilians.

On Tuesday, a previously unknown group calling itself the "Salvation Movement" threatened to kill Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian Islamic radical accused in numerous attacks.

"This is the last warning. If you don't stop, we will do to you what the coalition forces have failed to do," said a masked gunmen who appeared in a video with four other militants.

It is now becoming obvious, even to the most virulent of Iraq's "America haters" that it is not America or Americans to which this campaign of wanton death and destruction is aimed. Its at the new Iraq and Iraqis.

This will be interesting to monitor.

IN theory I welcome this development, but the Iraqi police need to make sure they put a stop to things like this.

They need to have control. Fir (not ruthless) control to make the people understand the rule of law is going to be respected.

Any other way is the wrong way

It doesn't matter how obvious it is to you or I - Michael moore says Zarqawi = George Washington and oh yeah Bush sux.
