There is not a chance in hell this is true. If SH had has nuciliar weapons, he would have used them for sure. Posted by: Derek at July 21, 2004 10:02 AM |

I agree that it's probably not true, but that's certainly not a reason why. I mean, for the love of god, where would he deploy them? How? And if he's so hell-bent on deploying WMDs in battle, why didn't he in 91? No, the "but he would have used them" excuse is hardly conclusive. Posted by: Jon Henke at July 21, 2004 10:07 AM |

Uh huh ... that's what they said in GW I when Saddam had chem and bio weapons as well. He didn't use them though, did he? Posted by: McQ at July 21, 2004 10:07 AM |

Well, McQ... he DID give the order, by some reports I've seen over the last few months. Personally, I'll be interested to watch the squriming on the left on this report... Posted by: Bithead at July 21, 2004 10:25 AM |

Actually Bit, what he did was 'release' the weapons for use. That isn't the same as ordering them to be used. Posted by: McQ at July 21, 2004 10:27 AM |

Bit - Moonbat response - The US put them there, they're fakes, they don't work, Bush LIED!, we made him do it, in F911 they were used as kites, they were in a trench where they couldn't hurt anyone, France said it was OK and the US put them there Posted by: Jack Tanner at July 21, 2004 10:40 AM |

I wish it was true because it would doom Kerry....but comon, lets be real. It's not true. Posted by: shark at July 21, 2004 11:34 AM |

I do NOT wish it true, even if it would be good for "my side" politically. It would mean the world is a more dangerous place than we had thought -- that Saddam was not merely "attempting" to get WMD but had such so small and so lightweight he could fit them into a missile -- a suitcase -- a UPS parcel ...
I hope it is not true. I pray so. On the other hand, it would be amusing for a few minutes while the "Shrub LIED!" crown developed their talking-points... Posted by: Pouncer at July 21, 2004 01:32 PM |
