Hmmm. Last time I checked George Soros hasn't been broadcasting conspiracy theories about anyone on the right, unlike Mr. Scaife. And I don't know where people are getting the idea that MMFA is or isn't an organization that Mr. Soros has donated to. Posted by: Oliver at July 29, 2004 10:59 AM |

We may have to agree to disagree on that, Oliver, considering the groups Soros funds, and their allegations and campaigns against Bush. Or his comparisons of the Bush administration to the Nazi's. This, however..."I don't know where people are getting the idea that MMFA is or isn't an organization that Mr. Soros has donated to"...seems a strange defense. You can neither confirm, nor deny it? Well, at the very least, Mr Soros donates large amounts of money to groups that DO fund Media Matters. Or the support of Soros friend and associate Peter Lewis. It's just a regular objective group of non-partisan truth-seekers over there, isn't it, Oliver? Posted by: Jon Henke at July 29, 2004 11:15 AM |

'Last time I checked George Soros hasn't been broadcasting conspiracy theories about anyone on the right' - Wow is that a joke? Is it the condescending type of lie that assumes people are so uninformed they'd actually believe it? Maybe his statement about saying how he grew up in occupied Hungary and GWB is just like the Nazis and he knows ........ Posted by: Jack Tanner at July 29, 2004 11:51 AM |

See, it's not the same because of some trivial difference that requires moral gymnastics to squeeze between the parallels. The Left can always find something that excuses their particular brand of hypocrisy, even if it doesn't bear at all upon the facts. Posted by: spongeworthy at July 29, 2004 11:59 AM |
