August 04, 2004 Band of Brothers John Kerry opened the door for this ad by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth by highlighting his Vietnam Service. It is, quite simply, devastating. It is a parade of decorated officers and enlisted men who served with Kerry in swift boats, and who essentially call Kerry a liar who betrayed his fellow veterans. Their statements are blunt and uncompromising. It puts Kerry in a pretty bad spot, too. If the DNC goes after these guys, it will serve only to highlight the actual number of swift boat vets who oppose Kerry, which, apparently, is the vast majority of them. But, if the ad just goes out there unopposed, it's just as bad. |
