August 09, 2004 Al Sadr's usual nonsense Well I see Michael Moore's Iraqi brother, Muqtada al-Sadr is at it again. A radical Shiite cleric vowed to fight to the death as his loyalists battled U.S. troops for a fifth straight day Monday, and bombings in Sunni regions outside Baghdad — including a failed attempt to assassinate a deputy governor — killed at least 10 Iraqis. Yeah, right. Last time he made that claim he ran off to Najif and hid in a mosque as soon as the US military showed up. Then he brokered a cease-fire. All this dumbass manages to do is send out his minons to get slaughtered by the gross. They're an untrained paramilitary group who routinely finds itself on the wrong end of 300:1 kill ratios. And as I recall, his militia also began being picked off by other Iraqis. "I will continue fighting," al-Sadr told reporters. "I will remain in Najaf city until the last drop of my blood has been spilled." Translation for those that need it: "I will hide in a mosque in Najaf and stay there until the last drop of blood of my militia has been shed." Well, whatever it takes. |
