Can we assume that the EU will put forward its perfunctory objections to the death penalty for any of the murderers left alive? Posted by: charles austin at September 7, 2004 01:56 PM |

Everybody needs to read and distribute this article written by Larry Abraham that explains once and for all where we stand with these murders. Here's the link http://www.insiderreport.net/clash_1-2.html or http://privateplaceinlife.blogspot.com Posted by: stellarboy at September 7, 2004 02:25 PM |

When I read of atrocities like these, I know that there must be a hell. That a universe exists where the souls of these creatures do not shriek in agony for all eternity is unthinkable. Posted by: RadarRider at September 7, 2004 02:59 PM |

How about this story? In one dramatic moment, Putin said Russian security forces overheard a disturbing walkie-talkie conversation between the terrorists: "What are you doing? Why? I hear some noise. What's going on? I'm just in the middle of shooting some children." Ah, bored. So they decided to kill children as a way of relief thereof. Religion of Shit would be a better description. So MK Ultra, comments on all of this? hmmmm? Posted by: capt joe at September 7, 2004 03:27 PM |

Sounds like Putin is warming up the people for the hard road ahead. And the Russians won't be girlie men about it either. There won't be any handwringing about snuffing these people out and eradicating their way of life and 'culture'. Posted by: looker at September 7, 2004 03:44 PM |

Yes, Trent Telenko et al are having a great conversation on this at Winds of Change based on a post by Dan Darling. The general consensus is that the day of "megadeath" as they put it is fast approaching. Similiar in concept to Den Beste's post on the US fighting 10 wars at a time (2 regional, 8 nuclear). I think that the Russians are very close to a WMD solution to their problem. Whether is will be a solution, however, is another matter. I don't know about anyone else but some of these stories are as bad or worse than some of the things I heard about the nazis in WW2.
And I am sure that this is just the tip of what will come out. Hearing these stories, I am absolutely cold with rage inside and willing to do whatever is required, whatever. And to give the Russians more to hate, our completely bullshit leftist press writes about these people as "activists", "armed captors", etc. In pages of bs rhetoric, they can't label these ba***rds as terrorists. Not the NYT, not the globe, not of them. So completely afraid of offending the Religion of Peace, CAIR, etc. they play the "Russian children, why do they hate you?" taglines. The Russians read this and are absolutely inflamed at America. Well, this is not you or I, it is the Atrios and Willis side of the coin. We need to tell them that we are with them and against the Islamofascists. If that is me and I am just an observer, then can you imagine what the Russians are feeling. I expect the response with be close to the megadeath response. Posted by: capt joe at September 7, 2004 04:21 PM |

Whenever we see an al-Sadr, or any of the other Islamic nutballs intent on imposing their will upon the world we need to see that they too are the murderers of Beslan. Then we need to kill them. It's the new moral equivalence. Posted by: ThomasD at September 7, 2004 06:03 PM |

As politically misguided as I think mkultra is, I can't imagine he would in any way condone or twist this. I notice the Cowardly Chechen they captured is putting out something like this: "Gee, I didn't know when we smuggled hundreds of pounds of explosives into a school over a period of several weeks, and then got all our AK's and shit, and took over the school on the day school started, that our meany leaders wanted us to harm any kids! Gosh I would NEVER do that. And our scary leaders got really mad and all and shot the guys who wouldn't shoot the kids, so I had to, like, act like I was shooting them. But I missed. I got the kids to just ACT LIKE their heads exploded like cabbages hit with a baseball bat. I swear. Gosh, I love little Christian Russian kids. Ahmed would tell you that if he hadn't blown himself up and all. I was just about to put my foot down and tell our leaders to stop being so mean when you guys busted in and shot about 73 of is in like 2 seconds." I'm having trouble remembering why it's supposed to be wrong to use prolonged, maiming torture as a form of retribution. Posted by: Jumbo at September 7, 2004 08:22 PM |

Whatever Putin does to avenge this, he deserves our support. I hope that the response the Russians come up with is suitably overwhelming. These Islamofacists have it coming. Posted by: Alex Nunez at September 7, 2004 08:53 PM |

Between this attack, the downed Russian airliners, etc, Russia is clearly on it's way to 'clarity' on where they stand with the Islamic fronts of the world. Ah, to have Russia switch from ambivelent handringing to full-fledged, *decisive* hand-ringing makes my heart go pitter-pat. Yes, they are decidedly worried. Let's all of us in the US hope this fear soon translates to 'shootin's too good for 'em' anger. It's one thing to 'get it', it's another to go get your gun and actually fire it. At the terrorists. Instead of an effigy of George Bush. Welcome to our fire base, comrades. Posted by: Jamison Banks at September 7, 2004 10:05 PM |
